While my friends back in the U.S. are getting ready for Labor Day weekend, I think back to all of the fun Labor Day’s I have had in the past. Friends. Family. Fun. FOOD! I realize over the 105 days I have been in Singapore I have never really mentioned all of the great food here. To many, Singapore is the mecca for the world’s best food. Amazing local dishes have migrated here from China, India and all over South East Asia. There is also mouth-watering cuisine here from all over the world. Including the United States, which is represented with several chained restaurants and some original establishments. You can find a wide variety of American food, from almost all of the fast food chains to the upper class joints like Morton’s and Ruth’s Chris. Almost all of the chained restaurants here that originated in the U.S. taste identical to their U.S. counter parts. In addition to these, there are several original American restaurants located in Singapore, although I must say that the food at these locations doesn’t always taste like it does back home. To fill your stomach I have compiled 50 food related pictures from my culinary exploits here in Singapore, which can be seen below. Sorry, but due to my curiosity there is very little western food on the menu below.
Yup… Even Hooters!
For future posts I will make sure to go into further detail regarding my favorite eateries and dishes. Not only in Singapore, but across the world. Happy Friday! And for my U.S. friends Happy LDW!
